Depending on sufficient budgetary resources being available, each tenured or tenure-track participant member will be allocated $3,000 per academic year in funding to participate in academic conference. Participation will normally be understood to mean delivering a paper, serving as a respondent, presenting on a roundtable or chairing a panel.

If sufficient budgetary resources are available, nontenure line faculty will be allocated $2,000 per academic year in funding to participate in academic conferences. Participation will normally be understood to mean delivering a paper, serving as a respondent, presenting on a roundtable or chairing a panel.

The chair may allow the use of some portion of these funds for research travel or attendance at a conference at which the faculty member will not be participating in the sense noted above.

Additional travel funds may be allocated for:

  • Program directors, faculty coordinating Academic Program Reviews or responsible for self-studies connected with accreditation for trips essential to their administrative responsibilities.
  • Faculty accompanying students to conferences, competitions, etc

In applying for permission to travel and seeking reimbursement, faculty members must comply with all relevant university policies.
