The Texas State University--San Marcos Legal Studies Program is the first of its kind in the state of Texas and one of only a select few in the United States.  This program is designed to provide students who are interested in law at a graduate level with an understanding of the American legal system, legal theories, and legal analysis.  Students may use this knowledge to pursue career opportunities in law, government, business, for career enhancement in law-related fields, or as a background for further graduate work in law or related fields.
